What: On behalf of Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Grant Thornton, Moss Adams, Geffen Mesher, Perkins & Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers, we are excited to bring you Career Days again this spring! To provide an improved and more in-depth experience for students we have changed the event to take place over two days instead of one. We feel our collaborative format will be a wonderful learning experience for your accounting students and will provide a first look into the world of public accounting. Students will get early exposure to some of the firms they may want to consider for internship and full-time opportunities. This annual event takes the place of the traditional CPA for a Day spring office visits that firms individually hosted in prior years.
Note: This event is intended for students who will finish school with 150/225 credits between December 2008 and August 2009. We prefer that students who have attended this event in prior years do not attend again.

Recruiting Timelines
- Two types of recruiting occur during the fall: full-time and internship.
- The focus of fall internship recruiting is for internship positions for the upcoming summer. Fall 2008 is targeted toward students interning in Summer of 2009.
- The focus of fall full-time recruiting is hiring full-time candidates to begin the following January through fall. Fall 08 recruiting will focus on extending full-time offers of employment to candidates to begin January 2009 - October 2009.
- Referrals to other locations or received from other locations will follow timing of the local market versus Oregon guidelines.
- No exploiting offers. Offers extended outside of the typical recruiting timeframe will be left open until the main recruiting timeframe to allow students the opportunity to pursue all options.
- Big 4 firms sending select candidates to regional or national leadership programs will not extend early internship offers. Leadership candidates will receive internship offers in line with the main summer intern recruiting process.
- Efforts will be made to communicate a common message to students at Oregon schools regarding their eligibility to participate in each recruiting cycle. If a student is "early" in the process, recruiters will realign them with the appropriate recruiting cycle.
- Students are eligible to participate in and receive offers during full-time fall recruiting if they are completing the 150/225 credit hours required to sit for the CPA exam by August of the following year. For example, students participating in full-time recruiting this fall 2008 would need to be completing their credit requirement between December 2008 and August 2009.
- Students are eligible to participate in and receive an offer for a summer internship during fall recruiting if they are completing the 150/225 credit hour requirement by August of the following school year. For example, students participating in summer internship recruiting during fall 2008 must complete their 150/225 requirement between December 2009 and August 2010.
- Students graduating after August 2010 will be redirected to internship recruiting the following year.
